Who is Seal Party?
Seal Party is a jazz-rock juggernaut forged in the storied rooms of San Francisco’s historic Hyde Street Studios. Studio veterans Kevin Seal (vocals/keyboards) and Chris McGrew (drums/production) have built a reputation for beautiful songwriting, buttery baritone melodies, and rich arrangements layered with horns and percussion. Their sound is bold and hard to pin down — pop woven together through shimmering ‘70s soul, slick modern R&B, and deft, artful rock.
Their two LPs, Circles Headed to the Sky and MMXXII, have earned critical acclaim and international radio play. You may have seen them opening for the Headhunters, collaborating with rapper Big Hongry, or touring across the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest. The Big Takeover summed it up simply: “Seal Party is just what the doctor ordered… and it is going to make you feel amazing.”
